Make a music visualizer clip for TikTok, right in the browser
Play your track, press V for a vertical frame and R to record. Fifteen seconds later you have a clip that loops cleanly. No upload, no render queue, no editor.

Record a clip in four steps
- Pick the audio. On desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox choose Tab audio, select the tab playing your song and tick Share tab audio: no room noise, steady levels. On a phone use the microphone. Or start with the built-in demo beat.
- Go vertical. Press V for a 9:16 frame.
- Pick a scene. Press Space to cycle the 73 scenes and ← → for presets inside each one.
- Record. Press R, or the red record button on a phone. It stops by itself after 15 seconds, the length short-video apps loop cleanly. The file is WebM on Chrome and Firefox, MP4 on Safari.
What makes a visualizer clip get watched
- The first two seconds decide. Short-video feeds show a new clip to a small test audience and watch whether people stay. A clip that opens dark or still gets swiped. Start recording right before the drop, not at the intro.
- Bright beats dark. In a feed, scenes like VAPORWAVE, MIAMI VICE or DAFT PUNK hold attention better than NOIR or THE SHINING.
- Give levels a moment. The visualizer calibrates against the loudest and quietest parts of the last few seconds; let the music play about fifteen seconds before you hit record.
- Resolution comes from your screen. Recording captures the canvas at your display's real resolution, so a Retina screen gives a Retina-resolution file.
Music rights
SPECTRA records whatever you play; it does not license songs. Use tracks you have the rights to, or add the song from the platform's own sound library when you post.
